Short Story Character
Aye, Aye Captain. Oh, well hello there fellow writer's, you caught me off guard. Major Butch Friesen here. I hope you all read the heroic tale The HomeComing. Not to brag or bost but I was the main role and all. Some may ask why I gave up the chance to be a hero and go down in history for defeating Mohammed Reda, just one of Al-Qaeda's most cold blooded killers. Well, I'll tell you why. Despite Rick Potter's poor flying skills I owed it to him to get that credit. Being partner's for years Potter and I grew close and had a strong bond. One in which we did not speak of but was evidentally present. He fought a hard fight against Reda but unfortunately didn't come out on top. I wanted Potter to go down with something to be remembered by. Something other soldiers will look up to him for and in hopes that he is never forgotten. That's what our troop does. We die together, we fly together. He may be gone but he will forever remain a hero to me and all other soldiers in the U.S Air Force. Whether Potter killed that terrorist or not, he'll always be a fighter to me.
